As an Landscape Ecologist, I have always been fascinated by the roughness and high sensibility of the ecosystems at these high latitudes and how they are impacted by a changing climate, thus my choice to go to Abisko and join CIRC. I am part of the Nuolja Plant Phenology Project while I work on my Bachelor's thesis concerning how plant phenology changes under the influence of different environmental factors such as temperature and snow. I am very excited to work the second season on the Nuolja Plant Phenology Project to refine my knowledge and increase my understanding of the Arctic ecosystems, to create a team of ambitious fieldworkers and an international setting of shared experience and knowledge between scientists, interns and tourists.
