The chance to study the effect of climate change in the Arctic is a unique and fascinating opportunity, one I am lucky enough to be a part of. Here in Abisko, I will be investigating the spatiotemporal variation of bumblebee communities and plant-pollinator networks on Mt. Nuolja, as part of my Masters in Ecology, Evolution and Conservation. Under the ‘Bumblebee Phenology in the Arctic’ project, I hope to gain crucial insight into the impact of climate change on species that are so vital to our ecosystem.
